David Newton qualified as a Solicitor in 1974 and has been a partner in the firm for over 35 years, originally as a partner of Paterson Robertson & Graham, the former trading name of The PRG Partnership. David has been involved for many years in Committees of and is a member of The Council of the Law Society of Scotland, running for the post of Vice President in 2011.
His main areas of practice are in commercial conveyancing and civil litigation. He advises on all aspects of family law, dealing often with divorce and separation, children and contact disputes and cohabitation agreements. He has conducted several long running and high profile Fatal Accident Enquiries.
David set up and has managed the firm’s Clydebank office since it opened in 1975.
David’s leisure interests included golf and rugby. In recent months he has also become a grandfather. So he has less interest in leisure.
